Think in product systems
I connect interface decisions to services, data, delivery, and the user outcome they are meant to support.
Engineer / Builder / Product thinker
I build production software across the full product surface—from the interface a person uses to the systems, data, and delivery behind it.
Explore development servicesThe short version
I’m Usman Akhtar, a software engineer focused on useful products—not isolated screens or technology for its own sake.
My work spans responsive web interfaces, component systems, backend services, database design, mobile workflows, cloud delivery, and AI-powered product capabilities.
I started in frontend engineering, learning how product decisions become real interactions. That foundation expanded into full-stack ownership: carrying features through APIs, persistence, reliability, and production delivery.
I work remotely from Lahore and value teams that care about clear thinking, honest collaboration, and software that can be maintained after it ships.
Working principles
I connect interface decisions to services, data, delivery, and the user outcome they are meant to support.
Clear component boundaries, explicit states, and maintainable flows help teams move without losing product quality.
I treat accessibility, performance, reliability, and collaboration as part of the feature—not work that comes later.
Current practice
At Rulrr, my role progressed from Frontend Engineer to Full-Stack Engineer. The work developed from product-facing interface engineering into ownership across frontend, backend, and AI-enabled workflows.
